I hope this newsletter finds you fit and well. If not, we wish you a speedy recovery. Future newsletters will only be communicated by email or a hard copy placed at the Victoria Avenue and Thomas Street desks. SMS’s or text proved too difficult and are discontinued. Members who have not yet given their email address are encouraged to do so. Please also let us know of changes to email addresses or if you are not receiving them. It will probably be a problem at our end which we need to fix.
Your Committee has been overwhelmed by the growth of our Club. We have now reached the 170 mark.
AUGUST: 8 AUGUST 2017 – HAWKESBURY RIVER SENIORS SEVEN ISLANDS CRUISE FROM BROOKLYN
We managed to get 68 up to Brooklyn using 2 buses and a few by train. I am glad to report that we did not lose anyone overboard and from the feedback I have received a good time was had by all. I must say that we had a great group of people, a great crew and the refreshments and tucker was first class. Sounds like we should do it again next year.

This has been scheduled for Sunday 20 August 2017 at 1 pm in the Club’s auditorium. As an incorporated association we are required to hold an AGM every year, with elections for Committee positions, and with a financial report to The Department of Fair Trading. Nominations for Committee positions have now closed.
The AGM will also be the ideal forum to put forth suggestions for outings for next year and hear suggestions from the floor. We are a young club with room for expansion, not only in membership but with ideas for the future. Look forward to seeing you there.
CLUB APPAREL – JACKETS
There are a few spares left. Those who have provided their size will receive their jackets this year. There will be no further orders this year. A small request through CLUB Grants next year will be made to cover anticipated new members.
Monday night raffles are going well and many thanks to those members who help out and/or bought tickets. This month we were able to make a profit of around $260. Any help or support would be appreciated.
If you can help out for an hour let me know.
