SPIRIT OF ANZAC EXHIBITION – DARLING HARBOUR – WEDNESDAY 19 APRIL
What a fantastic exhibition. For those who missed it you missed something special. The audio visual exhibitions combined with the military exhibits made it a very moving experience.
MUDGEE – GULGONG TRIP 1-4 MAY
A group of 18 shown above took part in this trip by train and bus. We are now back home recovering from a wonderful few days. The weather was good, the museums excellent and all topped off by some fine wine tasting and great food experiences. The group gelled well together and we had excellent local bus drivers to show us some special parts of the region.

This 5 day package tour to South Australia is now fully booked. We originally had ten cabins on standby but were fortunate enough to increase this to 11 due to the increase in demand. Once again Chatswood RSL, through the Club Grants program, has enabled us to offer a significant subsidy and we thank Chatswood RSL most sincerely. For those who are lucky enough to be going, this subsidy should be reflected in a revised invoice which was issued recently.
NOVEMBER: SYDNEY HARBOUR CHRISTMAS CRUISE MONDAY 20 NOVEMBER

Notification to Max Malcolm or Garry by 30 September 2017 if you want to go.
AGM Date TBA
The response to the invite to participate in Wednesday Social Bowls has been somewhat disappointing. Willoughby Park Bowling Club would be delighted to accommodate our members and guests for social bowling on Wednesdays. The emphasis is on SOCIAL. Beginners are most welcome, so if you are looking for something to do come on down.
Registration (notification) is required by noon (in person or telephone 9958 5130) with play commencing at 12:30pm. Dress is casual with suitable footwear (flat soled, thongs or barefoot best).Green fees are $5 per player and the club can also supply bowls if required. The club is located in Roberts Street Willoughby.
CLUB APPAAREL – JACKETS
Our first order has been completed and delivered and we were fortunate enough to have our Mudgee contingent decked out in the new jackets. Very stylish and an excellent promotion for the RSL and our Club. Sadly the initial response from members to have a fitting and sizes recorded for ordering was disappointing. We will do one more order and if you wish to be fitted for a size please contact Max, Malcolm or Garry on the numbers listed above to arrange a fitting. The order will close on 9 June 2017. Once again thanks to Chatswood RSL and their Club Grants Program
As mentioned in our first newsletter we are holding a meat tray raffle on the first Monday of every month. We are starting off small with a couple of $50 meat trays on offer but hope to expand this to a variety of hampers. Your committee would appreciate your support on these Monday nights. I must give recognition to Marion Bennett for her efforts in making up hampers and for her general support to the club. Thank you Marion.
