This new sub-club known as Chatswood RSL Social & Recreation Club Incorporated (INC1601248) has been formed to provide members, particularly seniors, to partake in well organised outings and overnight visits to Historical Sites and places of interest.
It will provide greater scope than that offered by the Chatswood RSL Sub Branch and is open to all members.
Application forms which are available at the front and back entrances to the club and can also be downloaded from the link in the red box to the right.
They can be processed by the Membership Office at Thomas St. You must be a member of Chatswood RSL to join.

Happy New Year to all. We now have over 210 members. We hope we can bring some fun and relaxation to your life with the proposed itinerary for 2018 detailed below.
Apart from the Darwin Trip in June, which is fully booked, expressions of interest are sought for the following schedule. You can register your interest by emailing email@example.com or by letting Max Bennett (mobile 0400 318 251) or Peter Kuskis (mobile 0448 322 216) know of your interest. There will be a limit on numbers for some events so it would be best to notify early to avoid disappointment.
January – No planned activity.
February – Cockatoo Island Tour Thursday 8 February
This will be by public transport, train and ferry. Entry is free.
March – Darling Harbour Tour – Thursday 8 March
Public Transport to city and walk to Darling Harbour. Visit the Aquarium, Zoo and Chinese Gardens and enjoy the cuisine of your choice for lunch.
April – Wyong Thoroughbred Horse Races Thursday 12 April
Train to Wyong and a short walk to the racecourse. There will be a limit on numbers so notify early.
There is a $50 entry fee which includes a sit down meal.
May – Vivid Harbour Cruise – Friday Night 25 May
Join us for a water view of the Vivid Exhibition. Make your own way to King Street Wharf for embarkation. Cost $55 includes 3hr cruise 5.30-8.30 pm, BBQ Buffet, Tea and Coffee. Vessel is licensed. We need a minimum of 50 to proceed and capped at 70.
June- Darwin Trip – Sunday 3 June – Friday 8 June
This is at capacity. Members are advised to consider travel insurance prior to final payment in case of unexpected illness or inability to make the trip.
July – Visit the Australian Museum in College St – Tuesday 3 July
Public Transport to town. Entry cost $8 for seniors. Lunch afterwards at eatery of your choice.
August – Port Hacking Harbour Cruise – Thursday 16 August
3 hr morning tea cruise for seniors. Cost $25. Train to Cronulla Station. Embarkation at 10.30 am at Public Wharf, Tonkin Street, Gunnamatta Bay.
September – Tour of Newington Armoury (Olympic Park) – Thursday 14 September
Public transport to Homebush Olympic Station and then a short walk.
October – Yamba/Clarence Valley Tour Sunday – Friday. Arrive Sunday 21 & Depart Friday 26
XPT to Grafton then coach to Yamba. Stay at Yamba Aston Motel and visit various local site by air conditioned bus with expert commentary. Cost approximately $800 not including train costs. We need 30 to proceed.
November – Traditional Sydney Harbour Xmas Cruise – Friday 16 November
Coach from RSL Club to McMahons Point, 3 hr cruise and Xmas fare and return to RSL Club
Approximate cost $50
December – Xmas lunch at RSL Subsidised by Social & Recreation Club. Wednesday 5 December.
Cost is expected to be around the $15 mark depending on numbers. The more the numbers the less the subsidy from the Social & Recreation Club. Subsidy made possible from Club Raffle profits.
We recommence on the Monday 5 February commencing at 5 pm – 8. pm. Raffles will be held on the first Monday of every month unless otherwise advised. Any support gratefully appreciated.
